knowledge awareness matrix

I encountered this knowledge awareness matrix with 4 categories :

  1. aware of knowledge: what they tell you because they find it important
  2. unaware of knowledge: what they do not tell you, because for them it is so obvious and they think everyone knows it
  3. aware of lack of knowledge : what they tell you they should know but don’t
  4. unawere of lack of knowledge : what they do not know that they should know but don’t

Although it is quoted from the work of an IT analyst during his requirements analysis, I think you can use it when gathering information (knowledge ?) about functions/roles in the enterprise.
